Upcoming Workshops:

Mending Mondays – 1st Monday of the month

Now part of London Recycles Repair Week!

Pop along to A Little Cafe at Grove Park Community Group for an afternoon of social stitching and mending, hosted by Victoria of Cotton & Cogs, the first Monday of every month!

What does it involve?

Whether you have a project on the go or want some advice, drop in to our open workshop and we can help! We are aiming to promote the benfits of upcycling and visible mending, but also encourage anyone looking for an inviting space to get on with any fabric-based project in the comfort of like minded locals!

What do I need to bring?

You can bring any of your own supplies or projects. Victoria will also have a whole selection of threads, tools and tips to offer if you need, but if using any supplies from the haberdashery, we ask for a small donation in return.

Clay at The Ringway

I am delighted to be offering introductory short courses and workshops as part of Grove Park Community Group’s “Clay at The Ringway” Programme for the Spring Term

To book, or for more information please email Lily at claygpcg@gmail.com

Bespoke Workshops

With a background in Community Engagement and Development I am experienced in planning and delivering a wide range of community activities and workshops – from developing craft activities for adults at a weekly coffee morning, to delivering sessions in gallery spaces, and supporting children’s art workshops outdoors.

I am committed to creating friendly and inclusive events where everyone is emboldened to try something new, whatever their level of experience or confidence, and to realise their creative potential.

As part of my practice, I am committed to minimising the environmental impact of my work, as such wherever possible materials are sourced second-hand, with offcuts and scraps being reused and repurposed wherever possible.

If your group or organisation is interested in exploring mixed-media collages, please do get in touch to discuss your requirements, whether it’s a one off workshop or a more in depth short course I look forward to creating a unique experience which:

  • Experiments with combining different artistic techniques to capture a memory, moment or story.
  • Removes barriers to creativity and encouraging curiosity and playfulness in art.
  • Fosters a sustainable and lower cost – both financially and environmentally – artistic practice

As well as facilitating short courses and community workshops I also offer bespoke sessions for small groups and parties.

Why not host a unique event just for you and your friends? I am happy to tailor the activities to your experience and budget – you provide the venue and refreshments and I bring the crafts and materials!

Thank you for sharing your amazing knowledge on how to go about fixing things! It was wonderful to take time to this all whilst being with others!

@ Mending Mondays

This afternoon was a stitch above the rest! ✨

We spent time learning new skills, sharing stories, getting inspired and most importantly, enjoying each other’s company outside our usual volunteering roles.

A huge thank you to our two wonderful hosts: Kathy Salmon, for welcoming us so warmly into Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and Victoria Morris from Cotton & Cogs for guiding us through such a thoughtful, creative session.
